Southern Anthem, November 17, 2017
November 17, 2017, Southern Anthem, Genres: Country, Gospel, Bluegrass Specialty: Vocal Harmonies, Fiddle, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Saxophone Wendy, Derek, Mikaela and Logan Pausewang, collectively known as Southern Anthem, are back in the RGV with a brand new "Branson-style" show for 2018. From fairs and festivals, church auditoriums, national television appearances, and requests from Nashville, Branson and beyond, the demand for their unique family harmony now has them traveling full time. Southern Anthem has been featured on America's RFD-TV, the legendary WSM 650 Radio and are members of the Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame. These heart-warming performers play country, gospel and a little bluegrass music to standing room only audiences. With Mikaela, age 17, singing lead on most of their songs, she has an amazing voice that always captivates the crowd. The others join her, creating a tight and beautiful harmony that only can be achieved when you combine vocals within a family. Derek, age 18, is a very talented lead guitar, mandolin and banjo picker; there's never a dull moment in the show with his jokes. Wendy plays rhythm guitar and saxophone while the star of the show, 12 year-old Logan, really gets the crowd going by perusing the audience as he "saws out" everyone's favorite tunes on his fiddle! Southern Anthem creates a crowd-pleasing experience that people can relate to and remember. Their love of "good, clean" music, along with the wonderful responses they receive from their fans, are and always will be the fire that drives them. You can't afford to miss this show!
