Nov. 20, 2015, Bobby Giles is a passionate song writer who sings lead vocals and plays the flat-pick guitar. His appreciation for the pure harmonies, faith centered foundations and family friendly venues, inherent in the bluegrass music community, are the inspirations for Music Mountain's personality and presentation.
Tux, the shaggy one in the band?s picture, is a band member, and always, shares the stage with the band.
Steve Loggie is the purveyor extraordinaire of the 5-string banjo. He began his banjo journey in the early ?70s, and brings years of experience and impassioned, intricate musical detail to the band. Steve continues utilizing his skills in pharmaceutical sales, but has also been a sound engineer for literally hundreds of performances in his home town of Wichita Falls, TX.
Dave Kuncicky loves playing the fiddle. A retired computer scientist, he delivers precise, pure and intentional musical elements to Music Mountain's songs. Dave lives in Santa Fe New Mexico and has recorded several collections of fiddle tunes available now on CD Baby and iTunes.
Becky McGaughy plays the upright acoustic bass and sings high harmony. The proverbial ?bluegrass widow? who decided to pick up the bass to spend time with her husband now keeps a rock solid beat and has a fantastic ear. A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, fiddle and the hammered dulcimer, she works in risk management for the medical profession.
Tim McGaughy plays mandolin, sings middle harmony and brings a selfless humor and a unique interpretation of ascending fifths to the band. Semi-retired from computer networking, he owns AmarilloGuitarLessons.com where he teaches guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, bass, and music theory.
