Appearing on July 15, 2016 Singer songwriter, George Allison, has written well over 150 songs, starting in the late 1960's. His songs are about the blues, drinking, dancing, partying to much, and songs about love lost, as well as, many beautiful love songs and ballads. He has written humorous songs and songs just about life. As with many song writers, his songs reflect his own experiences. George has been performing since 1977 as a single act, duo and a four piece band. George has released several albums over the years including Barmaids And Bar Stools, Blind Crippled And Crazy, It Ain't Easy Bein' Me, A Long Time Comin', My Heart Is In The Shape Of Texas, Some Old Some New, Mine And Others, and several live recorded CD's of dances he for which he played. George is an artist in the respect that he likes to sing the songs with his own inflection, but at the same time, keeping true with the artist that made them popular. George has the unique ability to provide his audiences with a multitude of stars, and he sings like all of them. From yodeling songs like Jimmy Rogers to moaning the blues like Hank Williams, melodic tones of Merle Haggard and ballads like the great George Jones. George Allison posses a vocal range of almost three octaves which allows him to sing a variety of songs such as Cattle Call, and his comic rendition of Kenny Rogers song Lucille, by substituting Dean Martin, Ray Charles, and Tiny Tim voices instead of Kenny Rogers. Throughout his career, George has played almost every type of venue, from street corner to shows with Freddy Fender in Morcambe, England. George has appeared on programs with Ricky Skaggs, Steve Warner, Pirates Of The Mississippi, Mark Collie, Del Reeves, and Carl Perkins. George has made numerous trips to Scotland and Northern Ireland to entertain audiences. Lately, George has been venturing into the genre of bluegrass, by appearing in shows at the always fun, Pearl Bluegrass Jam held at Pearl, Texas on the first Saturday of each month. George says: Singing and playing country music and bluegrass; I'm in it for the fun of it not the money or the fame. As one of my songs I recorded say's, "It Ain't Easy Bein' Me, but it sure is fun.
