Anji (Pearl) Her talents include bass and vocals. Anji is the comic relief of Pearl and the Polka Dots. Learning the bass only a few short years ago, she only began developing her own personal style once this girl trio came into her life. She is currently learning the guitar and fiddle, but Pearl will always consider her Kay bass to be her one true love. Rarely wearing shoes, she smiles constantly while playing and singing, and shares her love of music with anyone she sees. Having graduated with a degree in Math, she chose instead to be a service coordinator and work with individuals with intellectual disabilities. She stays packed and ready to go in her polka dotted trailer called "Dolly", wherever the music takes her.
Stacy Jackson Her talents include banjo, guitar, and vocals. Stacy grew up in Lamesa, Texas in a large musical family. As early as age two, her daddy held her up to the microphone in church to sing. At her grandparents farm, she sang while family members took turns playing out of the Baptist hymnal. Stacy always wanted to play the banjo, but was encouraged to play guitar instead. The rebellious teen took up drums in a rock band, but the banjo was always on her mind. Her ability to hear all the parts keep the trio in perfect harmony. While raising a brood of kiddos, she finally bought that banjo, joined a bluegrass band, and never looked back.
Rachel Bates, Her talents include fiddle, guitar, and vocals. Rachel started violin in the sixth grade and five years ago turned her violin into a fiddle. Guitar and voice came a little later when she began performing with Pearl and the Polka Dots. Playing first chair, second violin through High School, harmonies seem to come easier to her ear. She loves a good waltz, sings the sweet songs, and is now beginning to write a few of her own songs. This Weatherford resident is a Studio Artist during the week, and a Musician most weekends. Her life is filled with creative pursuits, the greatest of which is being part of a high energy trio of women making a mark in the Texas music scene.
