Dec. 18, 2015, The GCM Hall of Fame featured band for December 18, 2015 is the Southern Anthem family band. They made an appearance on our stage in Oct. 2015 and some pictures of them are still posted. Wendy, Derek, Mikaela and Logan Pausewang, collectively known as Southern Anthem, are a fresh and uprising family band. From church auditoriums, fairs and festivals, to Branson, national television appearances, and requests from Nashville and beyond, the demand for their unique family harmony, now, has them traveling full time across the US. What started as a need to have interim talent at a local theater production has grown into a full time ministry for Southern Anthem. Although, the group began singing in church years ago, they never dreamed it would lead to the calling that God placed in their hearts. The band has a growing audience spanning from the youngest to oldest of fans enthralled by the talent of the Pausewang family. Now, with the debut of their 2nd country album, followed by a gospel album with the original title track, "Savior Save Me", they have even more to offer their fans. These heart-warming performers sing to standing room only audiences. The band of four has a tight and beautiful harmony that only can be achieved when you combine vocals within a family. All play various instruments which adds to the quality and interest of their music. Southern Anthem creates a crowd pleasing experience that people can relate to and remember. Their love of "good, clean" music, along with the wonderful response they receive from their fans, are and always will be the fire that drives them. A note from Southern Anthem: "Thank you for your support and encouragement for what we do... we truly appreciate you and hope that you are blessed by our music."
