Jay & Tammy Roy are highly talented professional musicians. Their vocal and instrumental music selections span almost a century of American music. Their repertoire includes music from the Swing era, The Big Band Era, Classic Country, Western, Gospel, 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll, Bluegrass and old favorites from the pop charts and artists.
Jay has played music with Merle Travis, Freddie Fender and Chubby Wise. His first recording was a 45 record in 1968 in New Orleans on Bourbon St. Together, Jay and Tammy have recorded eleven CD’s. They’ve entertained from Alaska to Maine, Canada to South Texas, Canada in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, The Iles De La Madeleine (Que.) and across Newfoundland, Canada.
In 1989, they were on the CBS This Morning Show with Harry Smith and Paula Zahn in a segment about RV’ing in the U.S. They’ve appeared in Branson Missouri at the Branson Star Theater and are seen regularly on the nationally televised RFD-TV, Midwest Country Show from Sandstone, Minnesota. They appeared on the Midwest Country Show on March 19, 2017, July 12, 2017, and June 14, 2018 for a Remembering Marvin Rainwater Tribute show.
They won the 2010 Directors Choice Award
at The Wahoo Country Music Show, in Wahoo, Nebraska, and were inducted into the
Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013. Gatesville Country Music Hall of
Fame awards they received include, Golden Infinity Award for Master Musicians
on April 17, 2015
and the Golden Globe Award on April 20, 2018. They’ve received many
more awards, too numerous to mention.

1. Dan and Cheryl received a "Texas Star" trophy with name plate, and a framed "Texas Star" certificate.
2. Dan and Cheryl each received a Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame, framed appreciation award.
3. A framed "Musical Artist of The Year" certificate was given to Bill Dake and Matlyn Webb.
4. Both, Bill Dake and Matlyn Webb received "Musical Artist of The Year" trophies.
5. Lynn Webb received a "Master Sound Technician" Silver Cup trophy.
Again, thanks to the GCM Hall of Fame house band and our technical staff for their part in producing the show. Our band members were Louie Lee (lead guitar), Roger Vierse (MC and guitar), John Nickell (rhythm electric guitar/vocals), Tom Williamson (bass electric guitar), Mike Prosser (drums). Ken West (rhythm/vocals), and Bill Dake (steel guitar).
