Texas Eagle Dirt Band (Gene Snow & Paula Reid)
Aug. 21, 2015 The eagle is a symbol of freedom and liberty with a heritage of courage and independence. The roots of the Texas Eagle Dirt Band are planted deep in the heart of Texas. Gene Snow and Paula Reid, founding members of the band were born in Wichita Falls, Texas and proudly claim the heritage of the great state of Texas. This brother/sister duo have plowed their way through life, sowing and reaping humble rewards from the country music fields of Texas. Snowcap Publishing has released several songs that were written and performed by Gene Snow and Paula Reid that have charted on both Bluegrass and Christian Country radio. About midway through their career, Gene moved to Nashville, TN for about two years and developed music relationships that continue to be a part of their music. Gene opened the show for two seasons for the Jim Ed Brown Theater. He hosted a Writer's Nite at the historic Printer's Alley, recorded several albums while in Nashville, and sang on the Grand Ole Opry. Members of the band include Gene and Paula along with D.C. Cloninger (fiddle & vocals), Kurt Henry drums & vocals). The Texas Eagle Dirt Band has a special passion for raising the spirits of people. Their music style is rich in country music, flavored with God and Country. Classic Country music is blended into much of their original songs that have been released to radio and album projects.
